Huesman concludes her video by writing: "Had a great workout with no men in sight!" In the caption, she called BLUSH "the BEST GYM." The gym also boasts a plethora of workout equipment and spaces for private or group workout sessions.
She notes that the gym is "open 24/7 to women only," and that "the front door is locked so only members and women can get in."Īmong the amenities offered, the windows are tinted to prevent onlookers from peeking in, the hours their male employees work are posted throughout the building, and feminine hygiene products are free. With the text-to-voiceover option on TikTok, she tells viewers to "take a look at this all-girls gym."
The video starts out with Huesman and a friend outside of the facility. According to its website, BLUSH "is the only full-size health club in Kansas City area-Overland Park, Kansas-that is designed for women."
In late April, 23-year-old Heather Huesman posted a video of her trip to her local workout center, BLUSH FITNESS. Helps with my sanity? Sorry my longest review ever! What happens when you’re locked down.Women looking for a safe space to work out might have found their ideal sanctuary after a viral TikTok showed off a gym facility dedicated to female empowerment-regardless of what critics in the comment section have to say. So being in touch with them and being able to still do some of my normal activities before the lockdown happened, makes me feel normal and alive.
Plus it is more flexible time-wise since we all can do it anytime we want if in case we missed it or how many times we want to since you can see the post after the live. It feels like there’s a real interaction between the students and the instructors. So to fight the boredom of being locked down and keep us healthy and strong while we stay at home, they offered these virtual classes. With what we (the whole world) are experiencing right now, amidst all the chaos brought us by the global CoronaVirus pandemic, they still think about us. There were times I am absent for a while but still keep on coming back. They want you to be at your best (strong, healthy and confident). Like the morning classes they added on week days which really worked for me.
They listen to you, whatever your concern is and they try to do something about it. It’s not only the workout (technical part) I love about this place, it’s the camaraderie between students and teachers (especially for every competition, it’s so amazing how they support each other), the teachers/instructors, the way they teach, it shows how they really care for you, especially our pole mom and dad (amazing and awesome owners & instructors). All of the nice words that have been written on the reviews about this place are so true! I am the person who can’t stay or gets satisfied with a routinary life but somehow in my situation now, I felt stuck in some areas of my life but going to Work It made it different, fun and adventurous so they became one of my constants. I’ve been going to Work It studio for over 4 years.
